Bennett = Mini Dave?

    Okay so it is not hard to realize that Celia looks just like Mary and Bennett looks a lot like me.  Many have said it, it's true, plain simple fact.  In fact just last week we were at Chic-fil-a with our friends the Krugers and the Hunts.  When we sat down, Bennett sat next to Mike and I sat next to her.  Some time soon after that while bennett was attempting to swallow her ice cream cone whole Mike looked at her, smiled in amazement and said "wow, she is really just a little Dave isn't she."  Indeed she is.
       However, the really hilarity comes in when the kids act in ways that resemble us.  Just last night, we were having our post-kid's-bath-upstairs-unwind-time.  This is some of Bennett's prime time because as she gets tired and knows it is about time for bed she gives one last hurrah of pure energy release.  In this time she doesn't walk she hops, she doesn't talk she screams, etc.  Anyway some how the conversation drifted to a discussion about these new pull ups Celia has instead of the regular princess designs someone gave us some that have Ariel on one side and flounder on the other.  This particular discussion revolved around flounder because Bennett was making the audacious claim that flounder was green.  Now, whenever Bennett makes statements that are outside the bounds of reality that really bothers Celia.  For instance if Bennett tells Celia that she (celia) is someone other than who she is, like our neighbor Tina (You're Tina) it drives her absolutely crazy and she freaks out until we have to intervene.  In this case Celia was getting quite worked up about how Flounder wasn't green, so Mary called Bennett over, took the pull up and clearly explained as follows:
Mary: See Bennett Flounder is blue and yellow.  Flounder's not green...
Bennett immediately looked at her and responded: "You're green." and walked off.
Mary immediately looked at me...Like father like daughter.  Way to go Bennett, thanks for keeping us laughing.
We are not quite sure what to make of all of this other than it is really funny.

Hello?!?!
Blue and yellow MAKE green. THAT is what she was trying to say. She's an artist.
The world will never understand you, B, but you have to keep going. Follow your heart. All that stuff.
