And Bennett last night had her first encounter with the potty which was a huge success! She was freaking out excited! I don't think we're starting to potty-train for real, but maybe before bath time. She loved it!

beach pictures
more beach pictures from E's camera...

Here we are gathered on the beach
It's so sweet to see Bennett and Dargan together- this picture makes me excited to think about the years they'll have together at the beach each summer

please notice the decorative border added by E I assume. Isn't Dargan precious?

one amazing thing is that Wizzy is training for her first triathalon and this is a picture of her bike ride on the Cooper River Bridge with her Dad. She's been dubbed an "iron-mama". Seriously, we went running for 30 minutes...I went inside and Wiz went back to the street. She's an animal!
E and Hunt have a new screen porch so this will be the group shot setting for the future...Here we are trying it out in all posing options.....

the beach
Finally a few beach pictures. I realize as I post these that my mom has the best pictures but here's a couple of ours.....

Each day right off the beach I'd head up and bathe the girls in this slippery deathtrap, but thankfully this year we survived without major bruising!

On Independance day the Jackson boys were decked out in some sporty star-spangled spandex...they were awesome! Here is Henry digging the hole with a little help from Celia

One morning we played downstairs with giant bubble wands. It was great, I wish I had a picture of Dargan in the suds. She was fearless-

Our last day at the beach we were able to spend with good friends, the Gaillards and the Allens. Here Ann Claire is reading to Samuel, Mary, Celia, and Henry. She is amazing!
the first couple of days were kind of chilly on the beach but the girls didn't mind

Our girls
I don't blog very often, but I just wanted to say that life is good in the Kulp house. Our girls are the sweetest things in the world. This summer has been crazy, but we have had some great daddy daughter time! Here's a quick update:
Most of you know Celia has been in physical therapy for the past few months for her gross motor skills. 2 weeks ago she was re-evaluated, and her therapist Ms. Julie says she sees significant development. One milestone was when Celia was able to climb up the ladder at the local park to be able to go down the slide (about 1-2 months ago), then this past week she was able to get up and down and all around all over the Chic-fil-a play place all by herself!!! Yes, when Mary told me I teared up. Mary says I am definitely "that dad" who cries about happy things having to do with his kids all the time. Today I saw Celia in action on the play place with my own eyes...Yes, we do go to chic-fil-a alot!

Bennett is doing great too. Her personality is coming out soo much. She is hilarious, she loves to laugh and to make others laugh. She is a speed demon and is in perpetual motion, up and down round and round. Celia says that Bennett is officially the loudest Kulp. Many times a day you will find Celia standing next to Bennett saying "too loud Bennett" and holding her ears! I find it quite amusing. Bennett is also the daredevil of the family...We have been going to the pool alot more this summer and yesterday she spent alot of time underwater...She knows how to get there, but doesn't know how to get back so you have to stay close. Once she is out of the water she coughs a little bit and then she is on her way. That's right no tears...thus, she is also the tough one of the family too!

Gosh they just get cuter by the day!

Tricycle Music Fest '07
This past Sunday we went to the Tricycle Music Fest at Imaginon with the Williams fam, the Vaughns, and Rob Sharpe and company. It was a musical treat! Celia's favorite musician, Dan Zanes, was there with his friends and they put on a great show! Here are some pictures and video to capture our time there!

This guy is the drummer who is ridiculously talented and super nice. He talked with Celia after the show.

Call us cow-huggers...
Today is "National Cow Appreciation Day" at Chic-fil-a and like good cow-loving folk we suited up and ate on the house at our local CFA. We heard through the grapevine that if you dressed like a cow today, you would eat for free! With just a little research we found that indeed the rumor was true! After a quick costume making session we jetted off and entered to the sound of a cowbell announcing our entrance. To my surprise there were no others dressed for the event at the time but I had already seen a little calf or two that day at another CFA. We weren't discouraged but managed to find our way to the counter where we were asked to pose for a picture. Then we were treated with free chicken nuggets! After a fun meal we decided we'd definitely be returning tonight...what's a little more grease? We've spread the word so hopefully we'll be joined by the Waters family, the Hunt family, and the Martin family. Eat more Chikin'!

Celia smiling before seeing the "real" cow at CFA and absolutely losing it. It makes me think disneyworld might really be too much for her to handle.
