Birmingham

Birmingham was so fun with all the cousins! We loved staying with Ben and Wizzy. The girls did so well sleeping in the same room. Celia was so thrilled to hang out with Henry and Samuel and to talk to Anna Dargan. Bennett did ok but was not thrilled with the tornado party we had all huddled in the hallway singing camp songs....but we all survived! Here are some pics....

Jess and Zach get married

This past Saturday, Dave's sister Jessica got married to Zach Bragg. It was a sweet weekend and actually it was the first time we met Zach! He's great. The way there was horrible (traveling to Birmingham was a breeze but it took us 5 hrs instead of 2 to then get to Tupelo). Also along the way we were in a tornado and stuck in a Wendy's with no power. After the weather calmed down, Celia and Dave played "hide-and-go-seek"....Celia was "it" and got a little confused counting.....it went a little something like this...."one, two, three, kindness, goodness, gentleness....ready not come!"

Celia had so much fun with Mamu and Pops. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

"Bid Burl Bed"

Celia has officially made the switch. Wednesday night was Celia's first time in her "bid burl bed"! She was definitely a little nervous at first. We let her play on it until bathtime and then she was just ready. She said "all done bib (crib)". She's done great so far. Doesn't know she can get out (thrilled about that!), hopefully that will continue to be the case. It was a little sad taking down her crib and all the crib linens. I can't believe she's so grown up! Here is a picture of her last crib wake-up and her first bed wake-up....

Butterfly pal

On the way to drop off the trash at the dumpster (a good daddy daughter activity) we came across a friendly butterfly. Celia really enjoyed watching him fly all aound the playground. He even let us get very close. If you look real close you can see the little guy in the middle of the picture almost all the way to the right. When we got too close he would fly away, then come back to see us again. It was pretty cool, Celia thought it was the greatest....until he flew into a tall pine tree!

Covenant Child

This Sunday Bennett turned 4 months! I can't believe how quickly time has passed! And she is an absolute chunk! She weighed in at a whopping 15lb 1oz. She also started eating cereal and loves it. She's an absolute joy!

Of greater importance, Bennett was baptized this Sunday by Dr. Mike Kruger (an associate pastor at Uptown and a professor at RTS). It was really a sweet time. Dave read a blessing for Bennett before Dr. Kruger baptized her. Celia was sitting on Hunt's lap and at one point excitedly exclaimed "Bennett! Baptize!" Clearly it's early indication that she too is a paedobaptist! Bennett wore the same gown that both Celia and Henry wore in their baptisms. Enjoy the pictures!

A nice day

Today is Wednesday and that means Mommy, Bennett, and I got to go visit daddy at school on his class break and eat DONUTS with him and his friends!!! The weather was so nice that we even played outside. When Daddy got home from school we played outside again. We played with chalk and cooked on the grill then mommy made some delicious Fajitas!
